200-unit senior living community planned at One Bellevue Place

Minnesota developer has final 5.5 acres at $200 million project under contract; Metro to close Monday on land for Nashville Predators Sports Center complex at former Bellevue mall site.

Minneapolis-based developer Ryan Cos. has 5.5 acres of the former Bellevue center mall site under contract with plans to start construction soon after buying that land by year’s end.

“That’s the final parcel within One Bellevue Place,” said Tim Sittema, managing partner with Charlotte, N.C.-based Crosland Southeast, lead developer of the mixed-use development.

The senior living facility that Ryan Cos. plans along Interstate 40 on the northwest corner of One Bellevue Place is the latest addition to the mix under the $200 million-plus project.

Next week, a Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurant and a Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store will be the first open in the overall 375,000 square feet of retail space that’s 90 percent leased. Residents should start occupying the 337-unit Crescent Bellevue Place apartments at 8075 Sawyer Brown Road next month with a movie theater and a hotel also part of the project.

Meanwhile, closing is expected Monday on the land swap agreement that would give Metro Nashville’s government 8.38 acres at One Bellevue Place for a 120,000 square foot Nashville Predators Sports Center complex that will include two sheets of ice and a community center.
